The Position

Our client is seeking to fill AVP – Loan Servicing Coordinator role in the Chicago, IL market. The selected candidate shall be responsible for providing information and assistance to the Loan Servicing Manager, other departments, and the Lending Departments as a whole.

This position offers a generous salary of up to $90K and a full benefits program.

AVP – Loan Servicing Coordinator responsibilities include:

  • Serving as a subject matter expert for intricate issues related to the core system, customer resolution, and loan history.
  • Performing high-level and advanced technical administrative tasks including benchmarking loan input methods.
  • Providing guidance and support to the loan servicing department on challenging issues and coordinating the prioritization of tasks.
  • Cross-selling Bank products and services to generate new business when appropriate.
  • Performing a variety of administrative and technical tasks related to the development and implementation of special projects and ad-hoc requests.
  • Gathering information and documents to initiate Subordination Agreement, Letters of Credit, Direction to Convey, and similar requests.
  • Completing intricate tasks for vendors, investor reporting, core system, and special announcements.
  • Processing monthly and quarterly Flood Insurance Review.
  • Compiling and updating changes to county and processing fees utilized by the department.
  • Controlling collateral from document custodians to retain reconciled inventory.
  • Leading representatives with quarterly review of escheated funds.
  • Recognize priority issues and investigate escalated complaints to recommend corrective action.
  • Composing or directing the preparation of annual, quarterly, or administrative reports as needed.
  • Serving as backup to the ARM and Line of Credit Index Rate updates.
  • Conducting annual escrow analysis including review, exceptions, and refunds.
  • Oversighting of Property Tax Payments for all loans while maintaining core system integrity and utilizing vendor database to compile and export records to ensure timely payment of property taxes.
  • Performing administrative and all other duties as assigned by management.

  • High school diploma or equivalent certification required.
  • Prior experience in loan servicing required.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of loan application policies and procedures, as well as documentation required by underwriters and government agencies when needed.
  • Solid understanding of lending guidelines and practices.
  • Experience in dealing with high-stress situations effectively is a plus.
  • Proficient in math and loan servicing accounting practices.
  • Effective written, oral, interpersonal, and listening skills at various levels of the organization.
  • Excellent problem-solving and prioritizing skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with strong computer aptitude.
