The Position

Our bank client is seeking to fill an AVP Portfolio Manager role in the Denver, CO area. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, implementation, and reporting of portfolio analysis along all lines of business which can include but are not limited to Consumer, Mortgage, Indirect, Commercial, and Customer Business.

This position comes with a generous salary of up to $112K and full benefits package. (This is not a remote position.)

AVP Portfolio Manager responsibilities include:

  • Planning, organizing, and directing the portfolio analytics management department.
  • Supervising and appraising the activities of direct reports and ensuring services are professionally delivered.
  • Providing leadership to assigned personnel through effective objective setting, delegation, and communication.
  • Responsible for overall monitoring and analytics of all loan products.
  • Generating monthly, quarterly, and yearly portfolio reporting, regulatory validation, audit requirements, and recommendations as necessary.
  • Providing Financial and Credit Risk analysis, insights, and review on all required portfolios.
  • Making recommendations to ensure lending activities result in maximum volume, appropriate profit, and a minimal delinquency ratio.
  • Providing all required analytical reporting requested monthly/quarterly/annually by external and internal auditing.
  • Providing portfolio information for board of directors and/or loan committee submission detailing when triggers are met, and action is required.
  • Recommending and producing required documentation and reporting for promotional recommendation(s) and tracking post-implementation regarding lending products.
  • Working with Indirect Lending in regard to origination generation, vendors, regulations, rates, guidelines, policy.
  • Assisting Servicing, Collections, and Underwriting with various reporting needs.
  • Meeting with third-party providers, vendors, and internal departments based on need and maintaining positive business relationships.
  • Assisting in the development, implementation, and management of the CECL.
  • Managing quality control and exception review regularly.
  • Ensuring problem loans are closely tracked and effectively resolved.
  • Assisting the ALCO committee as required.
  • Assuming responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance/portfolio management, related field, or equivalent additional experience.
  • Four or more years of analyzing lending portfolios, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of bank/credit union products and services.
  • Ability to quickly acquire knowledge of loan analytical modeling and lending programs.
  • Understanding of government regulations and legal requirements involving lending, collections, and related functions.
  • Thorough knowledge of loan products and applicable policies and standards.
  • Ability to obtain, analyze and communicate complex information.
  • Exceptional written, oral, and presentation communication abilities.
  • Possess strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel), Analytical Software, and Core Banking Software.
