The Position

Our client is seeking to fill an Information Security Officer role in the greater Port St. Lucie, FL market. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing and maintaining the Information Security Program (ISP) at the Bank. The Information Security Program is designed to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the lnformation Technology (IT) environment in compliance with industry regulations.

Information Technology Manager responsibilities include:

  • Developing or overseeing the lnformation Security strategy in conjunction with the IT Department.
  • Developing or overseeing lnformation Security risk assessments designed to evaluate the enterprise risk posture by measuring; inherent risks, controls, and residual risks.
  • Working in conjunction with IT department resources on the design, implementation, and support of job scheduling software, backup processes, performance monitoring software products, and capacity management software products.
  • Overseeing security awareness activities for Bank employees and customers.
  • Ensuring that the Bank culture maintains a commitment to security.
  • Performing or overseeing assessment of security controls and evaluate results relative to risk assessment.
  • Developing or overseeing the development of effective lnformation Security policies and standards.
  •  Monitoring compliance and work with Management to ensure policies are implemented effectively.
  • Consulting with lnformation Technology and other business units during project and product development efforts.
  • Identifying symptoms causing performance deficiencies and initiates research and resolution with IT department resources as needed.
  • Evaluating compliance and developing plans for compliance with regards to lnformation Security.
  • Educating bank employees and acting as a champion for compliance throughout the bank.
  • Actively participating on disaster recovery, operations, information system, and other various committees.  Continually looking for process improvement opportunities inter and intra departmentally.
  • All other reasonable duties as assigned.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelors or Graduate Degree with sufficient background in information security and business management disciplines, or acceptable years of experience.
  • Five or more years of progressively responsible IT security experience
  • Knowledge and good understanding of Information Technology, Security and control
  • objectives.
  • Excellent computer skills.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, PC, Windows Server, Unisys and other mainframe programs;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Working knowledge of network topologies and protocols.
