The Position

Our client is seeking to fill an entry-level Information Technology Systems Administrator role in the greater San Francisco, CA market. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the streamlined operation of the Core System is in alignment with the Bank’s objectives and strategic plan. The System Administrator will work closely with the Chief Information Officer and the IT Department to evaluate, recommend, and implement core software and applications, and assists in the planning, and coordination of the Bank’s core strategies and support cost-effective and innovative solutions for all aspects of the Bank.

The position includes a generous salary of up to $100K along with an excellent benefits package.

Information Technology Manager responsibilities include:

  • Managing all FISERV related products and services, including maintaining, upgrading, and monitoring for a smooth operation. In this position, you will need the ability to support all users at a high level.
  • Working on special projects as assigned to meet the goals of the Bank and keeps management well informed of area activities and will provide support for daily operational activities of the Core System and Fiserv ancillary products and services.
  • Serving as administrator for assigned applications and programs.
  • Assisting with loading core system Fiserv software releases and upgrades.
  • Diagnosing and resolving system and connectivity problems.
  • Effectively developing, testing, recommending, and implementing new systems and processes.
  • Developing processes to improve reliability and proposes solutions to meet the future needs of both the Company and clients.
  • Evaluating and recommending new hardware and software for Fiserv systems and implementing new products as needs arise.
  • Establishing and maintaining professional working relationships with customers, suppliers, and outside contacts.
  • Assisting personnel in other departments to increase the understanding of system operations and effectively integrating new technology.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in accounting or business administration plus Computer Science/Information Technology experience.
  • Two or more years’ experience with system administration and core processor support functions.
  • Experience with FISERV related products and services.
  • Knowledge of network operations and all related computer hardware and software.
  • Knowledge of database reporting, user access control, security models, and backup processes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Able to coordinate well with other departments and personnel.
  • Ability to operate business equipment.
  • Computer literacy and ability to work with MS Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Team player with strong collaborative qualities and a positive demeanor.
