The Position

Our client is seeking to fill a Bank Operations / IT Manager role in the greater Findlay, OH market.  The chosen candidate will be responsible for the supervision of data processing, proof, and the overall operational management of bank customer data.  They are also responsible for the overall planning, organizing, and executing of all IT functions, including infrastructure (systems, network) and critical applications.

The position includes a generous salary of up to $100K as well as an excellent benefits package. (This is not a remote position.)

Bank Operations / IT Manager responsibilities include:

  • Being the primary lead for process improvements within Deposit Operations.
  • Supporting the day-to-day deposit and payment operations of our retail and commercial customers.
  • Oversee the IT function of the bank affecting all support, administrative and lines of business.
  • Providing a high level of operational support for the Treasury Management sales team in payments and non-credit services.
  • Supporting the Retail and Treasury sales team with the timely launch of new products and system set up and testing of those products.
  • Coordinating activities of assigned projects related to deposit, payment and treasury operations.
  • Responsible for back-office operations of the wire room, ACH, RDC, account analysis, business online banking, and merchant relationship.
  • Developing and implementing an effective continuous process improvement culture throughout the organization that consistently drives improved metrics.
  • Actively engaging with key vendors to extract maximum efficiencies from the software and services.
  • Planning and implementing new operating procedures to improve efficiencies, standardized processes, and reduce costs.
  • Assisting with annual budgeting and strategic planning sessions for holding company.
  • Developing strategic plans (short- and long-term goals) for Deposit Operations Department.in conjunction with both Retail and Treasury Management.
  • Managing projects as assigned to determine time frame, budgeting, project plan, staffing, and reporting.
  • Reviewing financial reports comparing actual budget, monitoring fee waivers, and assisting banks with increasing income.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Management related field.
  • Five or more years of bank operations, treasury and payment experience in a community bank setting.
  • Prior supervisory experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis, and computer hardware /software systems.
  • Broad knowledge of IT systems design, implementation, and maintenance, including requirements analysis, architecture, validation/testing, installation, evaluation and operational management.
  • Direct experience with a wide range of deposit related banking products and services including credit and debit cards, online banking, treasury services, and general deposit processing.
  • Proven experience systematically improving processes and reducing costs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in the use of standard Microsoft tools such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are required.
