The Position

Our client is seeking to fill a Bilingual (English/Spanish) Personal Banker role in the greater Trenton, NJ market. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing personalized service and advice to help clients achieve their financial goals. The role involves expanding relationships with existing customers (book of business) to support the retention and growth thru sales of deposits and loans.

The position includes a competitive salary of up to $65K, excellent benefits package and commission eligibility.

Relationship Banker responsibilities include:

  • Delivering a sincere approach to knowing our clients with the type of care expected from a trusted financial professional.
  • Conducting in-depth conversations with clients to determine financial circumstances, current and future.
  • Cross-selling Bank products and services as well as primary lending
    responsibility.
  • Processing consumer loan applications.
  • Facilitating new account set ups.
  • Ordering necessary customer items: Checks, ATM or Debit Card then distribute proper disclosures to customers.
  • Developing and maintaining a working knowledge of all Banks’s products and services.
  • Conducting sales calls to consumers, by phone or in person to achieve sales goals.
  • Participating in loan origination & booking in coordination with lending department and customer.
  • Setting-up customer access to various electronic services.
  • Actively engaging in the sales process to ensure the attainment of sales goals and objectives, while ensuring bank’s credit quality and risk management guidelines are maintained.
  • Analyzing customer loan and deposit needs and make recommendations to sell various Bank products and services.
  • Presenting a variety of product solutions to client needs.
  • Being actively involved in the community to enhance network opportunities and educate potential customers on the Bank products and services.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • Four-year college degree preferred.
  • Four or more years’ retail banking experience required.
  • Preferred experience in consumer loan origination and processing.
  • Home Equity/Mortgage experience a plus.
  • Must be Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Must have a current NMLS#.
  • Ability to build positive relationships within the bank and capable of establishing professional expertise through integrity, dedication, and strategic counsel.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; must be able to convey complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Must have working knowledge and experience with Windows operating system, Microsoft Office Applications, IOS/ Android mobile app capabilities.
