The Position

Our bank client is seeking to fill a Chief Operation Officer/President role in the Bayfield, CO area. The successful candidate will work closely with the CEO and the executive management officers to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans, and policies that support the accomplishment of the strategic plan.

The position includes a generous salary of up to $240K along with an excellent benefits package. (This is not a remote position).

Chief Operation Officer/President responsibilities include:

  • Setting strategic direction and holding assigned department leadership teams accountable for the execution of strategic goals.
  • Providing information and recommendations that support the Board’s policymaking and oversight role.
  • Identifying and implementing process and operational improvements that increase the effectiveness of business functions.
  • Partnering effectively across the Bank to drive the execution of the Bank’s strategic plan.
  • Accessing and implementing improved operational efficiencies and collaborating with management regarding the implementation of the improvements.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or business administration; MBA preferred.
  • Ten or more years of operations and business management experience in a senior operations role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a financial institution with over $500M to $1B in assets.
  • Experience running a strategic planning process and tying the plans back to tangible metrics and company financials.
  • Critical thinker – Questions conventional views, imagines, and explores options.
  • Results-driven – Shows initiative, sets achievable goals, and is accountable for measuring performance against results.
  • Uses effective interpersonal and communication skills to create relationships and build credibility.
