The Position

Our client is seeking to fill a Commercial Banking Relationship Manager role in the greater Dallas, TX market. This individual will be responsible for originating new commercial relationships and the cross selling of existing clients while focused on growing deposits, loans and fee income in a profitable manner.

Commercial Banking Relationship Manager responsibilities include:

  • Soliciting and servicing a variety of commercial loans.
  • Sourcing prospects and developing new customer relationships within defined target markets, creating and managing an effective prospect list and performing activities to insure growth in loan portfolios.
  • Serving prospects and customers through a consultative selling, trusted advisor role to assist them in recognizing and tackling business opportunities and risks, and helping them accomplish their goals.
  • Analyzing applicant financial status and credit to determine feasibility of granting loans.
  • Participating in the management of a loan portfolio
  • Monitoring the portfolio for credit quality. Understanding, detecting and reporting any early warning signs of problem credits so as to minimize the risk.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Accounting. Additional bank related training preferred.
  • Eight to ten years’ experience in Commercial Banking or other relevant job experience.
  • Demonstrated sales and business development skills.
  • Formal Credit Training or equivalent education and experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to make and service a broad range of complex business loans.
  • Proven strong business development and lead generation skills.
  • Consultative sales skills (i.e. listening and questioning, negotiating, closing and networking).
  • Advanced analytic skills.
  • Advanced PC and spreadsheet skills (Excel preferred).
  • Advanced credit analysis skills, understanding the impact that loan pricing and structuring has on the bank.
