The Position

Our client is seeking to fill a Commercial Loan Operations Specialist in the Atlanta, GA market. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing operational support and administrative management oversight and leadership within the bank’s Commercial Loan Operations functions including Commercial Loan Documentation Processing, Booking and Loan File Maintenance.

Commercial Loan Operations Specialist responsibilities include:

  • Providing administrative assistance to the loan officers and loan operations including assembling and preparation of documentation for commercial loan closings, ordering appraisals, credit reports, etc.
  • Booking new/renewed loans to loan platform system.
  • Reviewing, securing and maintaining loan documentation/collateral files.
  • Setting-up and monitoring tickler system for financials, exceptions, etc.
  • Setting-up and monitoring third party insurance and tax service.
  • Entering and maintaining loans in electronic imaging system.
  • Setting-up and maintaining construction loan draw accounts, coordinate inspections and calculate draw requests for loan officer approval.
  • Handling daily mailing of loan billing statements.
  • Processing paid out loans and withdrawn/denied loans.
  • Supporting the goals of the financial institution through effective teamwork.
  • Providing and maintaining a professional, business-like atmosphere within the office.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One or more years of experience in consumer/commercial loan administration.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication with all levels of staff.
  • Jack Henry experience preferred.
  • Understanding of banking computer systems; ability to operate computer work stations, word and excel.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Good understanding of financial institution products and services, especially credit products.
  • Experience in construction loan administration a plus.
  • Comply with the Bank Secrecy Act, Fair Lending and all banking regulations where applicable.
