The Position

Our client is seeking to fill a Commercial Loan Processor in the Mt. Prospect, IL market. The successful Commercial Loan Processor candidate will be responsible for assisting Commercial Relationship Managers (CRM) in handling commercial loans from application through payoff.

Commercial Loan Processor responsibilities include:

  • Creating and maintaining loan and collateral files, making sure all required information is present.
  • Obtaining supporting documents including title work, flood and OFAC searches, insurance, organizational documents, real estate collateral documentation and various due diligence items to verify compliance with loan approval and bank closing procedures.
  • Reviewing files on a regular basis to ensure proper/updated documentation is present.
  • Managing the loan closing pipeline and communicates timelines.
  • Entering all commercial loans on computer system and produce all paperwork to activate the loan.
  • Preparing all necessary paperwork, order inspections and title updates when appropriate for draw loans.
  • Coordinating the application of loan deposits and disbursement of loan proceeds to ensure funds are applied correctly and all costs and invoices as paid at loan closing. Maintaining consistent communication with customers.
  • Assisting CRM in increasing production.
  • Assisting other areas of the branch when time permits.
  • All other applicable duties as deemed necessary.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • High school diploma.  College degree preferred.
  • Five or more years previous commercial loan experience.
  • SBA knowledge/experience is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of commercial lending, real estate, loan documentation, lien documentation, as well as state and federal compliance and lending regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, efficiently and innovatively as part of a team
  • Must work well under pressure, meeting multiple and conflicting deadlines
  • Computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Office.
