The Position

Our Colorado-based bank client is seeking to fill a Remote Credit Analyst Manager role. The successful candidate will conduct complex credit analysis and act as the credit risk subject matter expert for the Credit Department, including coaching and training credit analysts.

This position offers a generous base salary of up to $95K and an excellent benefits package. (This is a remote position – must reside in Colorado).

Credit Analyst Manager responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for the entire credit underwriting process, including the consistent application of the Bank’s credit policy, periodic credit reviews of existing customers, and the assessment of the creditworthiness of potential/existing customers.
  • Managing the department pipeline with the goal of optimizing loan growth and asset quality.
  • Providing support for managing construction projects including inspection reports, draw requests and monitoring construction budgets.
  • Reviewing and analyzing all required documentation as it relates to construction lending prior to loan closing, including but not limited to construction and architect/engineer’s contracts, construction budgets, plans and specs, builder qualifications, construction contracts, engineer reports, appraisals, and all other documentation required by Policy and the Credit Approval.
  • Making credit decisions within assigned authority.
  • Managing annual review process and Bank tickler system.
  • Ensuring the department is functioning according to Bank policy/procedures as well as state/federal laws and regulations.
  • Reviewing all credit presentations produced by the credit department to work through deficiencies, understand and mitigate risk, verify risk rating and confirm final loan structure before approval.
  • Formulating and implementing credit management policy, processes, standards, procedures, and corrective actions aimed at minimizing credit risk while supporting business growth.
  • Training and developing employees on bank policy/procedures and credit structuring.
  • Staffing the department and ensuring the continued development of the staff utilizing training and coaching opportunities.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or another business-related field.
  • Two or more years of management experience.
  • Three or more years of prior credit analysis experience and proven analytical skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial statements including projections using trend analysis, ratio analysis, cash flow analysis, and industry averages, as well as macro/industry trends review.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both in writing and verbally, in a high-pressure environment.
  • Pleasant disposition which gives a positive image of the bank to customers and prospects.
