The Position

Our client is seeking to fill a Deposit Operations Manager role in the greater Frankfort, KY market. The chosen candidate will be responsible for the Electronic Services including ACH, Wires, Electronic Funds Transfers, Bill Payment, Remote Deposit Capture, Share Draft Checking, Visa Debit and Credit Programs, ATM fleet, and Mail Room operations.

The position includes a generous salary of up to $90K as well as an excellent benefits package.

Deposit Operations Manager responsibilities include:

  • Being the primary lead for process improvements within Deposit Operations.
  • Supporting the day-to-day deposit and payment operations of our retail and commercial customers.
  • Managing all Electronic Banking policies, procedures, and day-to-day operations ensuring efficiency and compliance, resulting in minimal payment exceptions and timely processing.
  • Managing all electronic banking services to identify and monitor risks and ensuring timely and efficient operations with convenient customer experience.
  • Ensuring the remote deposit program and the bill payment system maximizes customer experience and usage while minimizing the associated risk.
  • Keeping systems up to date with the latest enhancements available. Troubleshooting, testing, and providing solutions for various e-banking and payment systems enhancements and releases.
  • Coordinating activities of assigned projects related to deposit, payment and treasury operations.
  • Overseeing office operations of wire room, ACH, RDC, account analysis, business online banking, and merchant relationship.
  • Maintaining staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees, maintaining a safe and secure work environment, and developing personal growth opportunities.
  • Actively engaging with key vendors to extract maximum efficiencies from the software and services.
  • Planning and implementing new operating procedures to improve efficiencies, standardized processes, and reduce costs.
  • Working with the risk management department to conduct random audits of employees’ work. Ensuring monitoring tools are in place to identify risks and provide general oversight of the department.
  • Managing projects as assigned to determine time frame, budgeting, project plan, staffing, and reporting.
  • Reviewing financial reports comparing actual budget, monitoring fee waivers, and assisting banks with increasing income.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Management related field preferred.
  • Two or more years in a related field or industry in a management capacity. Prior supervisory experience.
  • AAP, NCP and/or APRP Certification preferred.
  • Direct experience with a wide range of deposit related banking products and services including credit and debit cards, online banking, treasury services, and general deposit processing.
  • Proven experience systematically improving processes and reducing costs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in the use of standard Microsoft tools such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are required.
