Fairfax – Credit Analyst / Underwriter – C&I, CRE & SBA (107302)

Mike has been a Credit Analyst for two years and enjoys all elements of credit analysis and underwriting. He has also worked in all phases of commercial lending processing and servicing.

He is seeking an opportunity with a Fairfax area Credit Union.

Mike’s career skills as a credit analyst include:

  • Spread financial statements and analyze credit information to determine risk involved in lending funds to commercial customer, and prepare report of findings.
  • CRE / C&I / SBA lending knowledge
  • Analyze all credit factors such as income growth, quality of management, market share, potential risks of industry, and collateral appraisal.
  • Analyze personal financial statements and credit histories for personal borrowers and guarantors.
  • Write loan approval record including results of credit analysis and summary of loan request. 
  • Describe credit risk and amount of loan profit. Submit offering sheet with recommendation to approve or disapprove extension of credit and make loan classification/risk rating analysis and present at loan committee meetings.
  • Counsel new and existing business clients regarding loan requests, prepare loan packages by collecting the necessary items such as tax returns, financials, business model/plan, projections.
  • Process loan requests, order credit reports, order appraisals, order title work, order ESAs, and any other required information required by underwriting.
  • Execute paper work in the system, LaserPro, or through attorneys. Ensure the validity of the paper work.
  • Train new employees and co-workers and provide some back-office administrative functions for online business transactions.
  • Administer all aspects of opening commercial deposit accounts and ancillary services and assists branches in opening commercial accounts. Audit all business accounts opened by the branches.
  • Monitor business banking and cash activities including member service, periodic relationship reviews, and retention activities. .
  • Knowledge of SBA 7(a), 504, Microloan, and Disaster loan programs.
  • Remain cognizant of and adheres to credit union policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.

Mike is asking for a base salary minimum of $70K.
