The Position

Our bank client is seeking to fill a Finance Manager role in the Lake Zurich, IL area. This selected candidate will be responsible for providing critical financial analyses and reporting to support the institution’s Investment Portfolio, Asset/Liability Management (ALCO) model, Budgeting, and Profitability Analysis.

This position includes a generous salary of up to $100K and a full benefits package. (This is not a remote position).

Finance Manager responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the production of monthly Board of Director reports, monthly ALCO reports, monthly senior management reports, responsibility center reports, and the maintenance of software information.
  • Daily management of the Finance Department, which includes the production of vital Board of Director and management reports and other financial information.
  • Coordinating annual budgeting and re-forecasting process.
  • Focusing on financial planning and analysis.
  • Conducting ALCO analytics and reporting.
  • Managing product profitability analysis for new and existing products.
  • Evaluating and comparing the relative quality of various securities.
  • Assisting in the preparation of federal and state government reporting and tax filings.
  • Researching technical accounting and tax issues for compliance and application to new and existing business processes.
  • Developing, maintaining, and distributing as-hoc reports and financial models, as needed.
  • Evaluating profit and cost efficiencies in various areas of the organization, as needed.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required, Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certificate preferred.
  • Three or more years of accounting or finance experience and one to three or more years of management experience required.
  • Three or more years of management experience in an accounting or finance discipline in a financial institution preferred.
  • General knowledge of current financial debt markets and US GAAP.
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost-control procedures.
  • Ability to verbally communicate effectively with internal and/or external members.
