Houston – Compliance Manager (106924)

Allen has been a Compliance Manager for six years.

He is seeking an opportunity with a Houston area credit union.

Allen’s career skills as a Compliance Manager include:

  • Perform ongoing review of state and federal laws and regulations
  • Monitor updates to ensure compliance and minimize risk exposure for multiple aspects of the organization and  Credit union departments: Lending, Underwriting, Collections, Accounting, Branch Operations, and New Accounts
  • Marketing materials and advertisements including website, direct mail, and email campaigns – Required forms, property signage, and disclosures
  • Facilitate the dissemination of information regarding laws and regulations to appropriate departments
  • Propose policy changes to senior management for compliance and to minimize risk exposure
  • Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory examiners during audits and examinations to provide requested information as well as interim consultation regarding compliance issues
  • Assess risk and coordinate development of audit plan
  • Establish techniques to discover and prevent fraud
  • Supervise audit staff to provide continuity of audit operations
  • Conduct regular internal audit procedures and activities for credit union branches, accounting functions, internal controls, operations, and portfolio to ensure credit union policies and procedures are followed
  • Communicate internal control weaknesses to senior management through presentations and formal written reports submitted for review by the Audit Committee
  • Track and report progress on recommendations from external auditors, regulators, and examiners Bank Secrecy Act
  • Serve as the credit union’s Bank Secrecy Act Officer and develop, implement, and administer all aspects of the Bank Secrecy Act Compliance Program
  • Ensure the credit union’s efforts to comply with the Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, and Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) are maintained

Allen is asking for a base salary minimum of $58K plus bonus.
