The Position

Our client is seeking to fill a Human Resources / Training Assistant role in the Columbus, OH market. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to both Human Resources and Training departments.

This opportunity offers a generous compensation of up to $32K and benefits package.

Human Resources / Training Assistant responsibilities include:

  • Answering all incoming calls and distributing them to appropriate departments and individuals.
  • Updating and managing the vacation calendar for the organization.
  • Coordinating wellness calendar on the intranet and track all participants. Providing semi-annual notifications to those participating in our wellness initiative of any remaining credits needed.
  • Sending out birthday and anniversary notifications to associates.
  • Maintaining all HR and personnel files according to HR best practices. Coordinating files needed to be purged and fireproofed.
  • Maintaining contingency list and phone list.
  • Ordering all office and training room supplies for Marketing, HR and Training. Restocking office and training room as needed.
  • Updating Learning Management System and submitting system access forms for all new hires, transfers and promotions.
  • Assembling training binders for all internal training coordinated through the training department.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • High School Diploma. College degree a plus.
  • Two or more years Support Experience in a Training and/or HR environment.
  • Financial services industry experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Word and Excel.
  • Exceptional communication skills, written, as well as, oral.
  • Strong time management and organization skills.
  • Working knowledge of State and Federal regulatory rules, regulations and policies.
  • An energetic and positive outlook when working with others, both internally and externally.
  • A forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards.
  • An individual that represents themselves in a professional manner at all times.
