The Position

Our bank client is seeking to fill an Information Technology / Electronic Security Officer role in the Houston, TX market. The successful candidate manages the Bank’s IT Program, IT/Cyber Security, Business Continuity Plan/Disaster Recovery Plan, and VOIP Phone Systems.

This position comes with a generous salary of up to $90K and a full benefits package.

Information Technology / Electronic Security Officer responsibilities include:

  • Supervising the Bank’s Network Security Controls, including User Access, Usage Monitoring, and inner Bank communications.
  • Overseeing day to day operations to ensure that proper security and safety procedures are adhered to daily.
  • Working with Bank’s IT Managed Services Provider to manage, maintain, and document the Bank’s internal network infrastructure, including Routers, Servers, Voice Systems, Desktop Computers, Printers, Scanners, and managing the Bank’s Technology Inventory.
  • Overseeing and work with installation teams on network and desktop related software and hardware projects.
  • Under COO‘s supervision and direction, responsible for quoting and purchasing all Network System Hardware, Software, and IT-related User and Software Licensing.
  • Working with the COO for the technology components of all bank construction projects, including system moves, and new installations.
  • Creating and maintaining the Bank’s IT Security and Systems Management Policies and Procedures.
  • Providing technical support to employees and systems as needed.
  • Responsible for the Bank’s Business Continuity Plan serving as Plan Leader.
  • Developing models for the bank’s internal use and manage bank model inventory.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • College Degree preferred.
  • Banking Technology Experience preferred.
  • Completion of banking courses encouraged.
  • Knowledge of standard operating systems, desktop software, and network infrastructures.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Ability to communicate well with internal bank staff.
