The Position

Our client is seeking to fill a Learning and Development Coordinator role in the Tampa, FL market. The selected candidate will be responsible for the development, coordination, and presentation of training to the Branch Administration personnel.  In addition, the position works closely with the director of human resources in developing, implementing and evaluating ongoing HR policies, programs, functions, and activities.

The position comes with a generous salary of up to $90K along with a full benefits program.

Training and Development Coordinator responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining the internal training initiatives for the frontline staff.
  • Designing training programs related to the frontline staff job descriptions which involve customer service, program and product knowledge, operational effectiveness, etc.
  • Identifying specific training needs and provides refresher sources and updates for frontline staff.
  • Providing core-required training in specialized functions.
  • Developing training materials and desktop tools and procedures for Branch Admin and staff.
  • Delivering classroom and one-on-one training.
  • Assisting administrators with an evaluation of workflows and processes; adjusting programs as necessary.
  • Keeping management informed of issues identified in processes and procedures; making recommendations for improvements and upgrades.
  • Presenting selected training programs.
  • Recognizing and adhering to compliance with all bank consumer regulations and laws including those for consumer protection and the Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering Program.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field required, or two years of related work experience.
  • Banking Industry experience required.
  • Three or more years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in human resources.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of training design, planning, curriculum, and job aid design and development.
  • Knowledge of implementation and facilitation of technical, operational, and/or specialty training events and programs.
  • Exceptional communication skills, written, as well as, oral.
  • Strong time management and organization skills.
  • Working knowledge of State and Federal regulatory rules, regulations, and policies.
  • An energetic and positive outlook when working with others, both internally and externally.
  • A forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards.
  • An individual that always represents themselves in a professional manner.
