The Position

Our client is seeking to fill a Manager of Bank Loan Administration role in the Chicago, IL market. The successful candidate will be responsible for management of the Loan Administration Department comprised of Loan Closing and Documentation, Loan Servicing and Reporting Divisions of the bank.

The position includes a generous salary of up to $85K and excellent benefits package.

Manager of Bank Loan Administration responsibilities include:

  • Closing new loan documents prior to funding ensuring completeness and accuracy utilizing Laser Pro.
  • Managing direct reports.
  • Booking all New and Renewed loan into FIS Core system. Maintaining system requirements for Non-Accrual; Charge-off processing as directed by ELC approvals.
  • Managing the Documentation Staff ensuring all requirements for documentation are accurate and consistent according to approvals supported by policy and procedures.
  • Managing the Loan Servicing Staff ensuring all requirements for funding, booking and servicing conforms to closing documents and approvals.
  • Implementing process improvements and increased automation in document requirements.
  • Completing and Reviewing New and Renewed Loan documents for completeness and accuracy using Laser Pro.
  • Establishing loan documentation procedures for periodic updates.
  • Updating Closing Checklist with procedural changes/additions.
  • Re-certifying flood determinations on a monthly basis based on the loans maturing by officer report.
  • Ordering new flood determinations for loans approved by ELC and re-certify as needed.
  • Ordering tract searches for renewing loans and for other departments when requested.
  • Maintaining Commercial Loan Processing Pipeline.
  • Ordering UCC and judgment searches for all documents and resolve all required clearance items ensuring accuracy.
  • Confirming and verifying tax status for all loans ensuring accuracy as verified on assessors or recorders websites.
  • Managing of all collateral exception tracking securing collateral and Real Estate taxes.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance or related field.
  • Five or more years in commercial loan servicing and two or more year’s supervisory experience preferred.
  • FIS Loan System experience a plus..
  • Strong PC skills, with proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to make sound decisions and take actions based on established policies and procedures.
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking and prioritizing skills.
  • Skilled at identifying inefficiencies and organize/document procedures.
