The Position

Our Oklahoma-based bank client is seeking to fill a Hybrid Remote Mortgage Financial Analyst role in the Tulsa, OK area. This selected candidate will be coordinating loan participation purchases/sales and data analysis related to the balance sheet.

This position includes a generous salary of up to $75K and a full benefits package. (This is a hybrid remote position).

Mortgage Financial Analyst responsibilities include:

  • Processing rate locks, edits, extensions, etc., preparing applicable reports and reconciling loan sales.
  • Maintaining mortgage loan pricing software, ensuring the accuracy of the pricing engine for salable loans and loans held in the portfolio.
  • Coordinating loan participation purchases and sales, both consumer and commercial.
  • Tracking loan portfolio trends to calculate, recommend and monitor loan loss reserves for ALLL/CECL.
  • Monitoring and managing mortgage lock requests, lock extensions, the pipeline, and investor commitments of mandatory delivery or best efforts.
  • Monitoring sale of loans and Gain on Sale entries, reconciling actual gain with expected gains.
  • Compiling data from internal and external sources for ad hoc and reoccurring reports, analyzing and validating data, and developing reports, and presentation materials that effectively communicate financial performance, risks, and strategy recommendations.
  • Keeping the team informed of substantial changes in the market and current market trends affecting mortgage lending and secondary market sales.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or Accounting, a plus.
  • A related field or a combination of education and experience that provides the necessary skills and knowledge to satisfactorily perform the essential job functions may be substituted.
  • Three or more years of related work experience (secondary marketing a plus).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills required.
  • Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databases.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as accounting principles and data, policy, and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge required in the use of Windows and Microsoft Office-based programs, especially Excel, is required.
  • Experience with automated financial systems, preferably EPPS and Encompass.
