The Position

Our bank client is seeking to fill a Mortgage Loan Processor role in the Dallas, TX market. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing and closing TRID related loans from application to funding in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.

The position includes a generous compensation of up to $55K plus bonus and a full benefits package. (This is not a remote position).

Mortgage Loan Processor responsibilities include:

  • Involved in all aspects of loan boarding onto the bank’s core system and responsible for mortgage servicing for the life of the loan.
  • Communicating with potential borrowers to provide and accept TRID loan applications.
  • Verifying income and assets through verifications of employment and verification of accounts.
  • Completing necessary checklists, worksheets, and timelines for proper file documentation.
  • Inputting complete loan applications into the software and updating accordingly throughout the loan process.
  • Accurately and timely prepare initial Closing Disclosure/review and approve final Closing Disclosure from Title Company.
  • Understanding the general credit and underwriting approval guidelines to advise the loan originator of products available to applicant(s) based upon initial application information.
  • Ordering and reviewing credit reports and understanding how to identify potential red flags.
  • Ordering and reviewing flood determinations.
  • Understanding all aspects of initial escrow setup and escrow servicing.
  • Servicing mortgage loans post-closing including necessary escrow disbursements, account statements, and analysis, handle error resolution or requests for information, and notifications of successors in interest.
  • Assisting with loan closings and prepare loan modifications when necessary.
  • Setting up loan tracking for required post-closing documents such as recorded deeds of trusts, title policies, insurance, and taxes.
  • Processing paid loans and issue escrow cancellation notices.
  • Providing prompt delivery of payoff statements and prompt crediting of loan payoffs.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One or more years of previous loan processing or loan assistant experience.
  • Two or more years TRID/mortgage loan processing experience.
  • Understand and recognize the different phases of the loan application process (inquiry, regulation B application, and TRID application).
  • Understand the various types of Qualified Mortgages.
  • Working knowledge of Calyx software, PPDocs web-based software, and Jack Henry & Associates Xperience software.
  • Must possess strong communication skills with potential borrowers and internal staff.
