The Position

Our client is seeking a fill a Mortgage Payment Processing Manager role in the Atlanta, GA market. The selected candidate will be responsible for proper functioning of all aspects of the payment processing, payoff processing, and investor processing.

This position offers a competitive salary of up to $60K and full benefits package.

Mortgage Payment Processing Manager responsibilities include:

  • Establishing goals and strategies area of responsibility and making periodic reports to management suggesting procedural changes to improve efficiencies, workflows, customer service and morale.
  • Monitoring daily workflow to adjust for absences and providing the necessary coverage to meet deadlines.
  • Evaluating performances and keeping production on pace for subordinate employees. Manager shall share information as it is collected and coach employees to succeed and step up to the next level within the department.
  • Managing Payment Processing and providing support to our internal and external customers to ensure the integrity of all loan payment activity.
  • Managing Payoff Processing and ensuring payoffs/releases are handled in a timely manner.
  • Managing Reporting and ensuring loan participation sales to investors are established in the system for accurate reporting. Providing for timely and accurate reporting and timely remittances to investors when due.
  • Communicating information to management when issues arise and working in conjunction with fellow managers to effectively manage where needed.
  • Assisting in other areas of loan operations management when needed.
  • Adhering to established loan policies and procedures and regulatory compliance to mitigate risk and exposure.

  • College degree preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in the loan operations workflow functions and understands the impact of each role within the department.
  • Strong loan documentation and payment processing knowledge.
  • Previous Supervisory/Management experience with the ability to effectively and efficiently manage a team.
  • Effective organizational and decision making skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office Product knowledge.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment and works well under pressure while making sound rational decisions.
