The Position

Our client is seeking to fill a Multi-Branch Operations Manager role in the New York, NY area. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the daily management of retail banking operations for the bank.

This position offers a generous salary of up to $140K and a full benefits package. (This is not a remote position.)

Multi-Branch Operations Manager responsibilities include:

  • Providing operational support, guidance, and direction to branch personnel, in addition to identifying tasks in need of process engineering and/or centralization.
  • Maintaining the operational effectiveness and regulatory compliance of all designated branches/districts.
  • Acting as the subject matter expert on operational and compliance requirements for branch personnel.
  • Assisting with the opening, closing, or relocation of branches as needed.
  • Conducting branch pre-audit reviews to ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulations, as well as safeguard operational soundness.
  • Collaborating with District Managers, and other key leaders to implement operational practices as determined by the Retail Operations Team Lead.
  • Helping identify procedural gaps and suggesting improvements.
  • Coordinating safe deposit break-opens and other such processes as assigned.
  • Providing ongoing evaluation of processes and procedures and recommend and/ or implement improvements for efficiencies.
  • Assisting with training of branch personnel to ensure effectiveness.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Five or more years of retail banking/ branch banking and/or branch operational experience.
  • Strong knowledge of various operating systems utilized by bank branches. FIS Miser/Si Core experience is a plus.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Must possess a positive attitude, and the ability to positively influence others.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills and other computer skills that demonstrate a keen ability to perform accurate data collection and analysis.
