The Position

Our bank client is seeking to fill a Personal Banker role in the Schaumburg, IL area. This role will be responsible for performing account support for both Business and Personal Clients.

The position includes a generous salary of up to $60K and an excellent benefits package. (This is not a remote position).

Personal Banker responsibilities include:

  • Helping customers manage their finances and banking needs.
  • Aiding customers in opening, managing, and optimizing their bank accounts and products.
  • Processing transactions, reconciling and researching accounts, debit card maintenance, and electronic banking support.
  • Recognizing customer needs and cross-selling products and services that align with their client’s financial goals.
  • Pursuing leads and potential customers to expand services and products offered.
  • Assisting customers in person at the branch as well as over the phone, in the call center.
  • Other duties as assigned.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • High School education or GED.
  • One or more years of personal banker experience is required.
  • Strong cross-selling experience.
  • Knowledge of banking products and services to cross-sell.
  • Exhibits strong customer service skills, presenting products and services while proactively educating clients on utilizing banking applications.
  • Adapts to concepts and procedures and notifies management when additional training is needed on product and service knowledge.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Windows applications.
