The Position

Our client is seeking to fill a Personal Banking Manager role in the Deerfield, IL market. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of Personal Banking staff as well as developing banking relationships and serving the needs of bank clients; to protect the bank’s assets and image by making sound decisions and minimizing risk.

The position includes a generous salary of up to $65K as well as an excellent benefits package.

Personal Banking Manager responsibilities include:

  • Opening/closing savings, checking, money market and CD accounts (individual, joint, custodial and business) as well as adding on products including but not limited to: debit cards, ATM cards, Bill Pay, etc.
  • Representing the Bank to customers in a courteous, professional manner.
  • Listening, assessing and explaining effectively, thoroughly, and professionally the products would best suit the customer’s needs.
  • Processing transaction including but not limited to: deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, check cashing, money orders, cashier’s checks, and traveler’s checks.
  • Answering the phone and assisting customers as needed.
  • Maintaining prescribed security controls to protect against criminal or fraudulent activity and unnecessary risk/exposure.
  • Managing Personal Bankers.
  • Reviewing the Bank’s Strategic Plan with staff on a regular basis,
  • Providing timely, candid and constructive performance feedback to the Team.
  • Organizing and coaching staff around necessary functions to service and grow account balances and open new personal/business accounts
  • Training, implementing and adhering to all applicable policies and procedures.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Two or more years’ Management experience required.
  • Five more years’ banking experience.
  • Additional education in banking is preferred.
  • Microsoft, Excel, and PowerPoint
