Ben has been a Chief Credit officer for six years with 13 years of related banking experience.

He is seeking an opportunity with a Philadelphia area credit union.

Ben’s career skills as a Chief Credit Officer include:

  • Created a successful and highly profitable Business Services Division:
  • Grew the business loan portfolio from $8MM to over $75MM in 5 years.
  • Managed the loan portfolio to a 0.01% delinquency rate and a 0.02% charge off percentage.
  • Grew the business deposit portfolio from $15MM to $68MM in 5 years
  • Manage and provide overall direction for the Business Services Division including products, initiatives, policies, procedures, budget, and objectives.
  • Manage all commercial loan activity including application processing, financial statement analysis, underwriting and loan booking processes so that volume and credit quality objectives are realized. Ensures that all loans are compliant with policy.
  • Coordinate and manage the credit union’s commercial lending sales and relationship management teams.  Responsibilities include; goal setting, training, mentoring and coaching, as well as sales support for more complex loan transactions.
  • Manage and grow the loan participation network by directing the buying and selling of loans with business partners, in order to maintain the credit union’s regulatory limits on portfolio size, aggregate exposure, and to spread risks.
  • Responsible for executive management and board divisional updates, including providing the overall direction of the division and executing on determined strategies.
  • Maintain current member business loan policies and procedures.  Manages annual re-approval of policy by the credit union’s credit and loan review committee and board of directors.
  • Decision member business loans within individual limits. Recommends applications to appropriate level of authority up to, and including, the credit and loan review committee for review.
  • Manage the development of new business services, commercial loans, modifications of existing services and development of marketing strategies.
  • Manage and oversee the business membership opening procedures and daily transactions, mitigating fraud to the satisfaction of internal audit and risk management. 
  • Manage the approval and limits of internal business deposit services such as mobile remote deposit capture, for business members.
  • Organize and perform individual loan and portfolio reviews utilizing internal and external resources.  Ensures that loans are risk rated consistent with credit union policies and industry standards.
  • Manage and participate in staff training concerning commercial loan products and business services. Helps to motivate member facing staff to solicit and refer new member business loans and deposit opportunities through sales competitions and incentives.

Ben is asking for a base salary minimum of $117K.
