The Position

Our client is seeking to fill a Private Banker role to be based in the greater Nashville, TN area. The selected candidate will be responsible for business development of new high-value clients and depository clients and effective portfolio management of all private banking clients.

The position includes a generous salary of up to $90K and excellent benefits package.

Private Banker responsibilities include:

  • Generating new private loan and deposit relationships. Deploying an end to end sales process, primarily through regular face-to-face client engagements, to maximize their services usage, loan, and business opportunities, including needs assessment, in-depth discovery meetings, one-on-one solution presentations, execution of solution plans, and ongoing client communication
  • Identifying, evaluating and authorizing/recommending approval or denial of private banking opportunities.
  • Proactively attracting, deepening and managing comprehensive financial relationships within the affluent segment.
  • Assisting in the development of promotional strategies to meet business development goals; working with the Marketing Department to develop promotional materials.
  • Delivering a distinguished client experience for the affluent market that supports the bank’s values through a consultative, customized needs-based approach and proactive long-term relationship management.
  • Cultivating deep referral networks through active community involvement and professional group affiliations to source new affluent clients and proactively address client needs.
  • Conducting research on financial market conditions to determine good opportunities to meet private banking revenue goals.
  • Implementing a calling program that includes contacting existing customers to maintain and expand banking relationships and contacting prospective customers to develop new business.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • College Degree / Business, Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Economics preferred.
  • Six or more years of experience developing and managing relationships with high net worth clients plus hands-on experience in applying deep credit expertise, working knowledge of investment portfolios and trust solutions.
  • Ability to foster and maintain private banking relationships with a high level of competency.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a team environment, introducing the appropriate partners and suite of investment, trust and banking solutions to high net worth individuals, families, and institutions.
  • Ability to apply credit expertise, and identify risk, within a specific commercial banking industry or vertical.
  • Ability to complete necessary analysis and documentation to achieve credit actions related to Private Banker’s existing portfolio (e.g., structure, waivers, and modifications).
  • Formal credit training a plus.
  • College Degree / Business, Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Economics preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products with advanced knowledge financial analysis and modeling.
