The Position

Our New York based bank client is seeking to fill a Remote Loan Officer Assistant role. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation, completion, and accuracy of loan documents including real estate, construction, commercial, and installment.

This position offers a generous salary of up to $60K and an attractive benefits package.

Loan Officer Assistant responsibilities include: 

  • Assisting the Loan Officer with inputting information into Encompass and verify the accuracy of the data.
  • Office and administrative tasks associated with reverse lending and sales assistance.
  • Providing a high level of assistance to customers, assisting and maintaining contact with clients, realtors, financial planners, attorneys, and any third party to maintain and deepen the relationships to foster new business opportunities.
  • Receiving mortgage applications from Loan Officer and accurately send initial and final disclosures to the applicant, order flood certifications, and fraud guard reports.
  • Confirming all required documentation has been submitted for processing.
  • Obtaining and reviewing all documentation received by applicants requested by the underwriter.
  • Working with employers, banking institutions, credit bureaus, and any other sources to make sure all information provided is accurate.
  • Assisting in the coordination of Loan Officer’s marketing and webinars.
  • All other assigned duties.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • Associate Degree, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Three or more years of loan officer administrative assistance and mortgage lending processing experience.
  • Understanding of agency guidelines and processing.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills as well as strong organizational skills.
  • Strong multi-tasking, time management, thoroughness, and accuracy skills required.
  • A high level of confidentiality required.
  • Ability to work under deadlines with frequent interruption.
