The Position

Our client is seeking to fill a SBA Credit Analyst role in the St. Petersburg, FL market. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing ongoing assistance to the SBA Underwriters to improve efficiencies within the SBA loan production life cycle. Requires developing and maintaining a customer-focused relationship with SBA Partners by exhibiting a high level of collaboration, timely communication and prompt response to inquiries.

SBA Credit Analyst responsibilities include:

  • Preparing detailed spreads on businesses,
  • Insuring loan packages are complete prior to submission to underwriting.
  • Identifying appropriate entity structures as well as verification of any affiliate businesses.
  • Monitoring and collecting signed commitment letters and fees.
  • Ordering 3rd party reports (appraisals, environmental assessments, business valuations, etc.)
  • Maintaining current status of each SBA Loan in process via nCino.
  • Adhering to and complying with Bank policies, procedures, applicable state and federal laws and regulatory guidance.
  • Participating in job specific and other various bank training programs as required.
  • Performing other related duties as requested or assigned.

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three or more years related financial or business analyst experience.
  • Strong critical thinking, organization, interpersonal, and multi-tasking skills with an attention-to-detail focus.
  • Ability to work independently, manage changing priorities, meet strict timelines, and interact effectively at all levels.
  • Proficiency with Widows PC environment and Microsoft Office suite, with emphasis on Excel product.
