The Position

Our Arkansas-based bank client is seeking to fill a Remote SBA Credit Analyst role. The selected candidate will be analyzing current credit data, financial statements, and necessary due diligence data of individuals or companies to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money.

This position offers a generous salary of up to $90K and full benefits package.

SBA Credit Analyst responsibilities include:

  • Providing analytical support for the SBA credit department including an independent analysis of creditworthiness pertaining to a diverse type of customers and prospects.
  • Minimizing the risk of the financial institution through effective credit analyses and reviewing and analyzing detailed financial information.
  • Preparing basic and comprehensive credit analyses on SBA loans that facilitates the credit approval process for use by loan officers or committees in the making of lending decisions regarding SBA loans.
  • Working directly with clients, agents, SBA staff, and attorneys to process and assess loan applications.
  • Analyzing financial statements and related material to prepares summaries and present facts that offer thoughts concerning creditworthiness.
  • Preparing credit and cash flow analyses to include business, affiliate, and personal.
  • Submitting credit approval documents and write-ups to appropriate personnel for decision making.
  • Managing workload and maintains communication throughout the credit decision process to ensure all requests are handled efficiently and processed in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring all departmental documents and activities are performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures as applicable to this position, including completion of required compliance training.
  • Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • BS/BA Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Two or more years of SBA credit analysis are required.
  • Maintain current knowledge of and adhere to all SBA SOP processes and regulations.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from a wide variety of groups to include clients, customers, bank employees and committees, SBA staff, and other parties.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in various stages of the credit decision process.
  • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail, accuracy, planning, and follow-up.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Financial Spreading Software.
