The Position

Our client is seeking to fill a Senior Commercial Credit Analyst /Manager role in the Albuquerque, NM market. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparation of credit applications and annual reviews, provide guidance to lenders, maintain working knowledge of legal requirements, loan pricing analysis, etc.

This position comes with a generous salary of up to $85K and full benefits package.

Senior Commercial Credit Analyst / Portfolio Manager responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing and interpreting financial statements (internal, compiled, reviewed & audited statements as well as spreading tax returns).
  • Managing a small commercial portfolio.
  • Identifying Loan Policy Exceptions.
  • Monitoring collateral advances.
  • Assisting Manager with complicated and more involved customers and credit requests.
  • Conducting research of specific industries and regions in which customer conducts business.
  • Preparing transactions for approval, both written and verbally.
  • Maintaining credit records and performing periodic review of current customers.
  • Analyzing field audit reports on asset-based lines.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in finance or accounting.
  • Four or more years of commercial credit analysis desired.
  • A good understanding of lending concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Strong computer skills and experience with MS Office products.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • General understanding of accounting terms and principals.
  • Ability to read and interpret financial statements to include: Tax returns (individual
  • and business), balance sheet, income statement, cash flow schedules, statement
  • of owner’s equity.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate with senior management, operational and technical staff and peers.
