The Position

Our bank client is seeking to fill a Sr. Credit Analyst (ABL/Factoring) role in the Dallas, TX area.  The successful candidate will be underwriting new and existing credits, peer review of presentations of other analysts to assure the accuracy and required content, prior to posting to the credit committee.

This position offers a generous base salary of up to $100K and an excellent benefits package. (This is not a remote position).

Sr. Credit Analyst responsibilities include:

  • Preparing loan presentations as assigned for new, renewal, or modifications.
  • Creating and maintaining files for assigned loan accounts.
  • Peer review for accuracy and content for any presentation assigned prior to submission to credit committee.
  • Ordering and following up on required due diligence for the assigned loan transactions.
  • Ensuring consistent underwriting among product lines.
  • Submitting transactions for loan approval or file updates.
  • Preparing and checking annual loan review information.
  • Helping coordinate the process with another analyst, prepares reviews, and approves reviews.
  • Preparing various reports produced by the department.
  • Assisting in covenant tracking and follow-up on submitted information for covenant compliance.
  • Generating and distributing reports that are needed for meetings, underwriting, or collateral verification.
  • Coordinating with Banker and Closing Analyst to close loans.
  • Helping to manage the follow-up of internal audit exceptions with lenders and auditors so that any outstanding items are resolved.
  • Other duties assigned.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Five or more years related credit experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in Commercial credit underwriting in a variety of industries.
  • Commercial portfolio servicing experience or auditing experience in a commercial Bank, a plus.
  • Experience in asset-based lending and/or factoring is a plus.
  • Ability to analyze, reason, problem solve, and prioritize work independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
