The Position

Our bank client is seeking to fill a Sr. Portfolio Manager role in the Las Vegas, NV area. This selected candidate will be responsible for the supervision of all functions related to the monitoring and servicing of all loan types within the assigned loan portfolio of 150-200 loans including SBA 7a, SBA 504, and SBA Express loans.

This position includes a generous salary of up to $105K and a full benefits package.

Sr. Portfolio Manager responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring the ongoing credit quality of existing loan customers to ensure each loan is graded appropriately based on the evaluation of financial information.
  • Assisting in the overall quality and compliance of all departmental, Bank, and SBA procedures.
  • Requesting documentation of all types needed from documentation specialists for servicing actions.
  • Making sure documentation is executed and recorded as required.
  • Tracking, maintaining and following up on all covenant/tickler items to ensure the loan ticklers are up to date, including insurance and financial statements.
  • Monitoring the SBA and Bank’s requirements for site visits and ensuring site visits are completed and included in loan profile as per SBA’s time-sensitive guidelines.
  • Interacting with applicable bank personnel on any issues that require credit approval.
  • Tracking and following up on any past due loan payments.
  • All other assigned projects and duties.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent with knowledge of servicing commercial and SBA loans to ensure compliance with all SBA and Bank Regulations.
  • Three or more years of commercial loan portfolio management experience.
  • Thorough understanding and knowledge of all functions related to SBA loans.
  • SBA loan servicing experience preferred.
  • Understanding financial statements and tax returns.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with and take direction from supervisors.
  • Requires excellent computer skills and software knowledge of Windows, Excel, Word, SBA Loan Manager, and Experian Credit Report Software.
