Statewide (OK) – Commercial Credit Officer (107077)

Jeff has been a Commercial Lending Credit Officer for 16 years and enjoys all elements of commercial lending and credit.

He is seeking an opportunity with a Oklahoma bank.

Jeff’s career skills as a Commercial Lender Credit Officer include:

  • Analyzing, underwriting and managing complex credits, including all types of commercial businesses,real estate, and real estate construction.
  • Credit and Underwriting:  serving as a member of the management loan committee, approving loans as a sole representative of the management loan committee, and conducting collateral audits
  • Credit Policy:  revising and drafting new credit policies, assisting in call report preparation, creating and preparing reports for the board of directors and for auditors
  • Operations:  managing loan operations team and processes, reviewing internally prepared loan documents, ensuring correct coding in the loan system
  • Appraisals:  managing the appraisal team and process, conducting internal reviews of appraisals for acceptability to the bank, performing internal FIRREA compliant real estate evaluations
  • Training: training team members in underwriting, credit administration, credit policies, and lending regulations both in a group setting and individually
  • Audits: overseeing audits of the bank’s lending, including internal loan review, CPA audits, FDIC, and TDSML
  • Workouts: overseeing the workout portfolio and foreclosure, repair, and sale of properties
  • Core systems:  Administrator and primary contact for several key systems, including Credit Quest, MERS, Avantus, and LexisNexis.
  • Building and managing customer relationships, including increasing loan and deposit volumes and cross-selling of various financial products (interest rate swaps, treasury management services, merchant card services, insurance, etc.).
  • MBA in Accounting from the University of Texas at El Paso, December 2004. 
  • BBA in Finance from the University of Texas at El Paso, May 1993. 

Jeff is asking for a competitive base salary (flexible).  He prefers a community banking setting.
