Cheryl has been a Chief Credit Officer for six years with a total of 18 years of related banking experience.

She is seeking an opportunity with a western Tennessee bank.

Cheryl’s career skills as a Chief Credit Officer include:

  • Oversees the credit department including the compliance, loan processing, and appraisal departments, as well as, ten branches.
  • Responsible for asset quality and overall accrual loan growth.
  • Consistently receives good ratings for asset quality on loan reviews and regulatory examinations.
  • Assists in developing the annual Strategic Plan including a three year budget for the loan department.
  • Supervises nine team members.  Has supervised 17 team members.
  • Organizes quarterly training sessions for lenders, as well as, administrative assistants.
  • Developed the Collateral Risk Management program used to identify and mitigate risk.
  • Conducts annual stress testing on the loan portfolio.
  • Oversees collection of past due loans, resulting in a drop from 5% of total loans to .50%.
  • Approves all action plans and prepares specific reserves for impaired credits.
  • Prepares the Allowance for Loan Loss for approval by ALCO, the CEO and Board of Directors.
  • Revises the loan underwriting standards, updates credit policies, and develops written procedures.
  • Has overseen the Business Development and Public Relations.
