The Position

Our bank client is seeking to fill a Vice President of Finance role in the Baltimore, MD area. The successful candidate will assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, statements of cash flows, and other reports as required.

The position includes a generous salary of up to $150K and an excellent benefits package. (This is not a remote position).

Vice President of Finance responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and implementation, financial reporting, asset-liability management, and financial system management.
  • Managing the investment portfolio and recommending changes to the portfolio.
  • Assisting the accounting department in the accounting for the investment portfolio.
  • Managing the Asset/Liability function and the outsourced interest rate risk modeling including monthly reporting of the bank’s liquidity position and liquidity ratios, net interest margins, and deposit and loan volume trends.
  • Coordinating with the asset-liability modeling software vendor for assumptions, forecasting, or other model revisions.
  • Managing Vendor Management program.
  • Assisting in the monthly close process primarily in the review of transactions, financial statements, and reconciliations.
  • Ensuring proper funds management by maintaining appropriate balances in all correspondent bank accounts/relationships.
  • Reviewing, revising, and implementing accounting policies as required.
  • Reviewing and maintaining all tax calculations, reporting, and filings, including property taxes and income taxes.
  • Assisting with internal and external audits and regulatory examinations as needed.
  • Complying with internal operational and security policies and procedures and always maintaining customer confidentiality.
  • Performing other appropriate duties as assigned.

  • Three or more years of banking accounting\finance experience.
