The Position

Our bank client is seeking to fill a VP, People and Culture role in the Glasgow, KY area. The successful candidate will build a high-performing team and can serve as a key strategic advisor to the EVP/CFO, CEO, and other executive team members with significant input on the people aspects in a fast pace and high-growth environment.

The position includes a generous salary of up to $85K and an excellent benefits package. (This is not a remote position).

VP, People and Culture responsibilities include:

  • Building and leading a state-of-the-art HR/ “People”/Talent function, recruiting/brand development, creating a collaborative performing culture, HR/ “People”/Talent leadership and compliance, and value creation.
  • Partnering with/advising the Leadership Team on retaining and engaging top talent.
  • Developing appropriate metrics, review processes, and policies to ensure an HR/ “People”/Talent function that enables and supports objectives.
  • Ensuring that people strategy is aligned to the company outcomes and ensures the creation of value for the company.
  • Partnering with EVP/CFO and CEO and effectively providing significant input/advising to the EVP/CFO and CEO and executive team on all matters of people operations.
  • Serving as an SME to the executive team for all matters of people operations, helping guide the executive team and inspire confidence around people operations.
  • Building and developing programs that encourage associate engagement and career growth.
  • Ensuring feedback mechanisms are in place to evaluate associate engagement and retention.
  • Developing programs and processes to drive professional development, career progression, and succession planning.
  • Developing programs and processes for leadership development and equip managers with resources and tools needed for success as a leader and ensuring associate engagement.
  • Establishing a targeted and innovative recruiting and onboarding program to recruit top talent and bolster talent quality across all functions.
  • Assisting in the development of compensation plans for sales, marketing, and executive teams that drive desired behaviors and properly incentivize.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year College or university.
  • Strong HR/ “People”/Talent experience, ideally gained in rapidly growing, fast-moving, and changing environments.
  • Experience working with an executive team, with a strong preference for background working directly with a CFO or CEO in high-growth environments.
  • History of building best-in-class recruiting, and talent leadership function metrics driven by a track record of using data and key performance indicators to inform decision making.
  • Board reporting experience.
  • Demonstrated team leadership experience providing leadership development and best practices to the HR/ “People”/Talent function.
  • Track record of building bridges and educating with facts and data to drive alignment and influence the people strategy HR/ “People”/Talent.
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, exhibiting a high degree of professionalism.
