The Position

Our client is seeking to fill an Accounting Manager role based in the greater Dallas, TX market. The selected candidate will be responsible for the oversight of the accounting and financial reporting functions of the company. The Accounting Manager will report directly to the Controller.

This position offers a competitive salary of up to $80K and an attractive benefits package.

Accounting Manager responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing accounting operations of the Company.
  • Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies, controls, and procedures.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate month-end financial reporting.
  • Assisting with extracting, analyzing, interpreting and reporting financial data for financial and operational performance, including performance against budgets and key business metrics.
  • Working diligently to supervise, mentor, train and develop the company’s accounting staff.
  • Preparing and reviewing month-end account reconciliations.
  • Preparing and completing ad hoc projects for the Executive Team as needed.
  • Managing business license renewals, state registrations, property and sales tax returns.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • Five or more years’ experience in corporate accounting.
  • Three or more years in a management capacity with supervisory responsibilities required.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Experience in a multi-entity environment, reconciling intercompany transactions and consolidated financial reporting experience required.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel computer skills.
  • Must possess a proficient understanding of US GAAP.
  • Ability to multi-task and communicate effectively and professionally.
