The Position

Our bank client is seeking to fill a Bank Branch Manager role in the Detroit, MI market. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the branch operations for the branch and for establishing a work environment that delivers an excellent experience for both customers and employees. The candidate will be providing leadership, support, and ongoing training to the teller staff.

The position includes a generous salary of up to $75K and an excellent benefits package. (This is not a remote position.)

Bank Branch Manager responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the branch along with the operation of the branch.
  • Leading service, experience, and sales in the branch.
  • Proactively solicit new business through referrals and member engagement.
  • Providing career development opportunities to all branch employees to see continued sales and service improvements.
  • Owning the resolution of all issues that impact service in the branch.
  • Coaching, operations, and sales, hiring, developing, and training of staff.
  • Ensuring adherence to all bank operational, lending, security, and regulatory-related policy and procedures.
  • Engaging in community organizations, community engagement, volunteerism, and join a board or committee.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required. Associates degree from two-year college or technical school preferred. Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university is desirable.
  • One or more years of bank management experience.
  • Understanding of retail banking products and services.
  • Knowledge related to bank regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through both written and oral formats.
  • Strong PC skills, with proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Successfully meet team goals and objectives.
