The Position

Our bank client is seeking to fill a Chief Information Technology Officer role in the Glasgow, KY market. The successful candidate will be overseeing all strategic and operational aspects of technology, cybersecurity, information and data management, telecommunications systems, and payment systems. The candidate will collaborate with all Executive management about the direction and tools needed to meet the enterprise’s strategies.

This position offers a salary of up to $120K plus bonus and full benefits package.

Chief Information Technology Officer responsibilities include:

  • Managing operation and administrative functions of the Technology Department and staff with an emphasis on providing exceptional internal and external customer service.
  • Aligning IT objectives and programs to the enterprise objectives and strategies.
  • Coordinating technology across the enterprise and defining metrics based on overall business objectives.
  • Reporting performance status and coordinating overall technology budget.
  • Developing and presenting reports to the Executive Team and the Board of Directors regarding the organizations’ technology and security.
  • Building a secure infrastructure, recommending tools to streamline operations, integrating products that make it easy for members to do business with us, and ensures optimal customer service delivery.
  • Discovering and implementing new technologies that yield competitive advantage.
  • Collaborating with the Enterprise Risk Officer on security, compliance, and business continuity.
  • Tracking, analyzing, and monitoring technology performance metrics, developing, and managing technology budgetary KPIs, and developing and monitoring SLAs, and assessing technological performance profitably, and security.
  • Serving as an information systems expert.
  • Researching and recommending innovative technology updates and systems for alignment with strategic business goals.
  • Leading IT audits and exams and maintaining and preparing documentation.
  • Collaborating with the executive team on the disaster recovery and security plan, which requires periodic reviews and tests to ensure both functionality and viability.
  • Ensuring all technology systems and equipment are approved, tested, budgeted, and meet security requirements.
  • Performing such other duties as may be required from time to time for the overall management and operation of the organization.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor or Graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Seven or more years of experience in the administration of information systems and technology, with an increasing level of responsibility throughout.
  • Three or more years of experience managing a department.
  • Extensive knowledge of information systems operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as they relate to IT.
  • Banking technology experience preferred.
  • Proven experience in both business and technical facets of their role.
  • Ability to interface and communicate both orally and in writing in a positive, professional manner with all levels of staff within the organization.
  • Excellent understanding of project management principles.
  • Ability to understand and follow policies and procedures, accept constructive criticism, and lead and manage others.
