The Position

Our Illinois-based bank client is seeking to fill a Hybrid Remote Credit Analyst role. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing sources of financial information to determine the potential risk and profitability of a loan.

This opportunity comes with a generous salary of up to $75K and a full benefits program. (This is a hybrid remote position).

Credit Analyst responsibilities include:

  • Collecting and reviewing interim financial reports of existing member relationships to evaluate compliance with loan documentation requirements and prepare periodic reports for review by management.
  • Reviewing credit data to evaluate commercial loan requests.
  • Investigating credit records and related financial information.
  • Underwriting C & I and CRE credit requests for new and existing commercial client bases to produce creditworthiness recommendations.
  • Spreading financial statements and conducting a thorough analysis of applications for commercial credit requests and for internal loan review.
  • Preparing loan presentations and making recommendations based on financial findings.
  • Calculating debt service coverage analyses and assessments of collateral.
  • Demonstrating strong attention to detail, follow-up, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Monitoring and maintaining certain collateral records and updating borrowing base calculations.
  • Preparing annual reviews for existing members.
  • Performing other duties as required.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field and/or equivalent training and experience.
  • Two or more years of Commercial Credit Experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in the credit analysis of Ag loans is preferred.
  • Knowledge of financial statements and general accounting
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Efficiently manage deadlines in a high-pressure work environment with varying degrees of supervision.
