The Position

Our Texas-based bank client is seeking a fill a Remote Sr. Credit Analyst role. The selected candidate will assist loan officers and directors in determining the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money to customers by generating financial spreads and ratios using specialized credit analysis software.

This position offers a competitive salary of up to $75K plus bonus and a full benefits package.

Sr. Credit Analyst responsibilities include:

  • Performing in-depth financial analysis (spreading and analyzing financial statements).
  • Obtaining all required financial documents from the loan officer.
  • Receiving data on prospective and active borrowing accounts, i.e., financial statements, tax returns, agency and credit reports, and interview and investigation sheets.
  • Analyzing data and evaluates the short- and long-run prospects of the individual or company.
  • Completing the analysis and forwarding it to the loan officer in a prompt and consistent format as adopted by the bank.
  • Making modifications to the analysis as needed.
  • Preparing sufficient information to document recommendations, if assigned to a lending function.
  • Ensuring that all credit analysis activities are conducted in accordance with prescribed lending policy.
  • Providing thorough documentation of all financial analysis work, including ratios, cash flow and collateral analysis, and other related information.
  • All other duties assigned.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • Associates Degree at a minimum. Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or another business-related field preferred.
  • Three or more years’ experience as a Credit or Financial Analyst.
  • Experience with credit analysis software, such as Sageworks Analyst, is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Proficient ability to analyze and interpret financial statements.
  • Ability to effectively perform multiple tasks, duties, and jobs throughout the division or department, and the ability to work independently and make decisions requiring independent judgment much of the time.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail.
