The Position

Our bank client is seeking to fill a Sr. Credit Administrator role in the Whitney, FL area. The successful candidate will be responsible for the commercial credit activity of the bank by overseeing the bank’s commercial loan portfolio and managing overall risk and making recommendations to mitigate risk to the bank.

The position includes a generous salary of up to $175K plus bonus and relocation assistance and an excellent benefits package.

Commercial Credit Administrator responsibilities include:

  • Offering direction to the Commercial Lenders to ensure a sound lending environment and to minimize risk.
  • Overseeing all aspects of commercial loan processing, underwriting, documentation, loan review, and servicing.
  • Reviewing the existing portfolio to ensure credit quality and recommending any upgrades or downgrades to loans.
  • Assisting commercial lenders with complex credit requests.
  • Supervising the credit analysis function of the bank.
  • Ensure the loans approved and booked are within loan policy.
  • Preparing and/or reviewing all loan-offering memos, making loans within loan authority, and presenting loan requests to appropriate loan authorities.
  • Overseeing the loan review of the existing portfolio to ensure appropriate credit quality.
  • Working with the lenders to assign the appropriate level for the Bank’s loan loss reserves and the coordination of independent loan review.
  • Actively participates in community and banking activities and/or organizations as an ambassador of the Bank.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree with an accounting concentration.
  • Five or more years of relevant experience in commercial lending including formal credit training.
  • SBA lending experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of retail bank regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in WORD, EXCEL, and other MS OFFICE applications required.
  • Very good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Capable of working independently.
