The Position

Our Pennsylvania-based client seeks to fill a Remote Sr. Credit Analyst role. The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting an analysis of commercial loans and/or loan relationships as determined by the Chief Credit Officer, Credit Department Analyst, and Executive Management.

This position includes a generous salary of up to $75K and excellent benefits package. (This is a remote position).

Sr. Credit Analyst responsibilities include:

  • Conducting detailed financial analysis on loans to determine if the borrower can repay the obligation.
  • Analyzing proposed and existing commercial credit relationships as determined by senior management.
  • Financial spreads and constructing cash flows on a regular basis.
  • Determining the borrower’s ability to repay all obligations by conducting an analysis of financial information.
  • Determining the adequacy of available collateral and recommending a possible loan structure to ensure that the bank limits its risk to a reasonable level.
  • Reviewing proposed or existing collateral to determine if the bank is adequately secured.
  • Communicating with Originating Lender on the details of proposed and existing credits.
  • Recommending a Risk Rating to Originating Lender and/or Loan Review.
  • Recommending structure and terms based on the financial and collateral analysis.
  • Communicating with Loan Review and Chief Credit Officer (CCO) on any issues of concern on individual credits.
  • Cooperating with other departments, Loan Processing. Loan Operations, Consumer Underwriting, Internal Audit, Collections, and Loan Review, as needed
  • Checking existing loan covenants as part of the annual review process.
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • Finance or related degree or equivalent/significant loan and/or audit experience preferred.
  • Five or more years of lending or analysis experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with business and technical analysis
  • Proven analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work logically and efficiently, with strong attention to detail
  • Intermediate knowledge of Sageworks (or similar software) and Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
