The Position

Our client is seeking to fill a Staff Accountant role in the greater Dallas, TX market. The position is responsible for performing oversight of the day-to-day Accounting functions.

The opportunity has a generous salary of up to $68K and excellent benefits package.

Staff Accountant responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing general ledger and post adjusting journal entries.
  • Reconciling monthly bank statements.
  • Preparing client monthly financial statements with supporting documents.
  • Downloading lockbox files from bank website daily and making corrections as necessary to bank imaging report.
  • Supervising HOA collection accounts.
  • Interfacing with other internal personnel, homeowners, and external auditor etc. in a professional manner ensuring client/customer satisfaction with each interaction.
  • Adding new clients to the portfolio.
  • Performing Ad hoc projects as necessary.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • Associate Degree in Accounting/Finance preferred.
  • One or more years of relevant GL accounting experience.
  • Experience working with Yardi.
  • Must have effective communication (verbal, written and listening) skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced deadline environment while managing multiple tasks.
  • Experience working with Yardi.
  • Condo/Homeowner Association background is a plus but not required.
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Advanced spreadsheet proficiency – Pivot Tables & VLOOKUP.
  • Must assume responsibility for timeliness of work completion and perform to meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
