The Position
Our North Carolina-based client is seeking to fill a Hybrid Remote BSA Analyst role in the state of North Carolina. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Compliance Officer with compliance monitoring reviews and other special projects to measure and understand the state of regulatory compliance for the organization.
The position offers a generous salary of up to $60K and a full benefits package. (This is a hybrid remote position.)
BSA Analyst responsibilities include:
- Assisting the Compliance Officer in the completion of ongoing compliance monitoring programs to report on the bank’s compliance with various state and federal regulations.
- Maintaining a current thorough understanding of money laundering and terrorist financing issues, including policies, procedures, regulations, industry best practices, criminal activities, and developing trends.
- Implementing assigned regulatory compliance responsibilities and activities associated with the Bank Secrecy Act and Money Laundering initiatives throughout the Bank.
- Reviewing and updating policies and procedures as necessary to maintain compliance with all applicable Anti-Money Laundering laws, regulations, and guidelines, (e.g., BSA, CIP, USA PATRIOT Act, OFAC).
- Recognizing and adhering to compliance with all bank consumer regulations and laws including those for consumer protection and the Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering Program.
- Monitoring account activity to ensure compliance with OFAC requirements.
- Identifying weaknesses in practice and procedure and recommending solutions that increase the level of compliance without unnecessarily burdening the business unit.
- File all required reports and documents with the appropriate federal agency and respond quickly to all lawful requests for information from law enforcement agencies.
- Providing compliance assistance and information to all departments/functional units within the Bank.

You also bring the following skills and experience:
- High school graduate, college degree preferred.
- Four or more years’ prior banking experience in anti-money laundering is required.
- Working knowledge of Federal and State Anti-Money Laundering compliance statutes and regulations.
- Background in deposit or lending operations with knowledge of applicable regulations; bank compliance and/or internal audit a plus.
- Bank Compliance Regulatory Management Certificate (CRCM) is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret statutes and regulations.
- Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
