The Position
Our client is seeking to fill a Loan Documentation Specialist role in the greater Philadelphia, PA market. The successful candidate will be responsible for documenting and closing commercial loans, modifications and home equity loans. Additional responsibilities will include coordination of settlements, including funding, with all parties and post-closing due diligence.
The position includes a generous salary of up to $70K and excellent benefits package.
Loan Documentation Specialist responsibilities include:
- Working with the Credit Analysts and Loan Origination Team in preparing settlement documentation packages in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensuring completeness, accuracy, and legibility of data entry and documentation for new credit facilities and existing loan modifications.
- Analyzing and interpreting credit approvals to prepare legal documentation and navigating the funding process.
- Learning and utilizing computer applications (as may be available) to generate legal documentation.
- Orders UCC searches, corporate searches and other due diligence as required.
- Verifying and cleaning up proof of ownership as reflected by the registered name at the Secretary of State of the company’s state of incorporation.
- Consulting with customers, lenders, vendors, and/or insurance agencies, as needed, to resolve funding hurdles.
- Preparing and tracking daily/weekly reports for funded and approved transactions ready to fund.
- Following-up and clearing any outstanding items needed for the legal file after funding.
- Discussing deals with credit and collections, as needed.
- Performs other related duties as required.

You also bring the following skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field preferred,
- Five or more years of loan processing experience, including loan document preparation.
- Must be proficient in LaserPro (minimum 5 years’ experience).
- Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel & Outlook.
- Thorough understanding of the funding process.
- Ability to negotiate structure and monitor funding transactions and the ability to communicate clearly, to think and act independently and to know when to ask for guidance from more experienced officers.
- Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
- Safeguarding confidential and protected information covered by privacy law and company policy.
- Must work independently and as a member of a team.
