The Position

Our bank client is seeking to fill a Credit Administrator role in the Los Angeles, CA market. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing credit administration support for the large corporate and lease finance department.

The position includes a generous salary of up to $125K and excellent benefits package.

Commercial Credit Administrator responsibilities include:

  • Assisting commercial lenders with complex credit requests and spreading financial statements.
  • Researching potential companies for meaningful information regarding finances, management, and current company trends to determine if the Bank should finance extend credit.
  • Performing OFAC checks and flood plain searches; obtain certificates of good standing.
  • Filling out basic information on loan closing checklist (Obligor, Address, Amount, Pricing, etc.)
  • Reviewing loan documentation to determine covenant and reporting requirements to create ticklers on Fiserv.
  • Updating prospecting database.
  • Tracking large corporate prospecting database to identify competitor bank groups, loan maturity dates, company ratings, etc., to be used as a marketing tool to identify potential new business opportunities.
  • Drafting marketing materials (quarterly letter, conference/convention materials, etc.) for review.
  • Searching the U.S. Securities and Exchange site for company filings to obtain information on loan pricing, syndicate group, changes in the company’s leadership team, and company announcements.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree with an accounting concentration.
  • Five or more years of relevant experience in commercial lending including formal credit training.
  • Working knowledge of retail bank regulatory requirements.
  • Must speak Mandarin and Cantonese.
  • Proficiency in WORD, EXCEL, and other MS OFFICE applications required.
  • Very good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Capable of working independently.
