The Position

Our client, an 85-year-old company focused on clients, financial planning, and investment management is seeking to fill Financial Advisor roles to be based in the Chicago, IL market. The successful candidate will provide investment advice and recommendations to prospective and active clients. They will also help clients to identify their distinct financial needs and goals and then recommend plans and products to help them achieve those objectives.

Financial Advisor responsibilities include:

  • Sourcing and engaging new clients, opening new accounts, recommending securities for investment, overseeing trade executions, and providing ongoing advice and counsel.
  • Conducting full needs assessments with current and potential customers.
  • Recommending appropriate company products and services to meet the individual’s needs, based on objectives, risk tolerance and proper asset allocations.
  • Providing superior customer service in meeting or exceeding customer needs, questions and problems.
  • Identifying new or additional sales opportunities by maintaining contact with existing customers and referral sources on an ongoing basis.
  • Identifying and developing new opportunities to deliver advice and solutions to existing clients

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • Three or more years of sales/client service experience in financial management.
  • Doing $150K or more in gross revenue in each of the past two years.
  • Series 7 and 66 or 63 Licenses are required. State life, accident, and health insurance licenses are also preferred
  • Knowledge of investment management strategy, process and products, general products.
  • Demonstrate high level of expertise in sales, networking, negotiation, relationship building.
  • Possess proficient interpersonal communication, writing and group presentation skills.
