The Position

Our bank client is seeking to fill a Loan Operations Specialist role in the Houston, TX market. The selected candidate will perform due diligence and documentation preparation for loan documentation requests received in Loan Operations.

This position offers a generous salary of up to $70K and full benefits package.

Loan Operations Specialist responsibilities include:

  • Cross-training in all functions of loan operations.
  • Preparing in-house loan advance payments.
  • Performing posting of sold loan payments.
  • Processing residential construction loan draws and paid out loans.
  • Processing credit exceptions and maintaining reporting system.
  • Maintaining auto lease reporting and maintaining documents.
  • Scanning and indexing loan documents to image system.
  • Recording security interest documents.
  • Interacting positively with other departments and offices to achieve a teamwork environment by maintaining external and internal customer service.
  • Assisting with special projects as requested.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • College degree preferred. Completion of banking courses encouraged.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, policy, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence effectively.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as interest, percentages, and loan payoffs.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Knowledge of word processing software, document tracking software, spreadsheet software and Microsoft Office software.
